At lunchtimes, most restaurants will offer a well-priced 'Plat du Jour' (dish of the day), normally consisting of locally-sourced meat, potatoes and a salad or seasonal vegetables.
Breakfast & Brunch
Loop Bar in Tignes Le Lac has a friendly atmosphere and is open for late breakfasts (10am), lunch and dinner. They offer quality food at an excellent price throughout the day.
If you're in Val Claret, try Aspen Coffee Shop, it's open from 8.30am to 5pm.
Cafes & Bakeries
Tignes has a number of cafes and snack bars serving sandwiches and snacks where you can grab a quick bite to eat whilst out skiing or have a coffee and catch up with friends. La Croissanterie du Lac (Tignes le Lac) is open from 7am and will get you going with a selection of coffees, pastries and lunchtime snacks.
Le Caveau in Val Claret is a lively restaurant with cabaret and live music. It also serves very good French classics along with fondue.
For gourmet dining try Les Campanules restaurant, in the heart of Tignes Le Lac, you can enjoy inventive Savoyard cuisine that will tantalise the tastebuds.
L'Arti is contemporary style restaurant in Le Lavachet that serves up modern Savoyard dishes, they also cater for vegetarians. Choose from a range of set menus.
Italian & Pizza Restaurants
For good value pizza head to Tar'Tignes Restaurant in Le Lavachet where you can enjoy a simple pizza or main in a relaxed atmosphere. A popular haunt for seasonaires and locals!
Although Tignes has no Michelin starred restaurants, there are a number that are recommended in the Guide Michelin for the quality of their cuisine: Les Suites du Montana, Les Campanules, La Ferme des 3 Capucines, La Table en Montagne and Le Panoramic.
Spanish & Mexican Restaurants
Daffy's Cafe is a tex-mex restaurant located in Val Claret serving Mexican cuisine inculding nachos, fajitas and more. The bar is the main focus of this joint, so don't expect a relaxing meal... think apres ski and dinner rolled into one.
Although French cuisine isn't renowned for being particularly veggie-friendly there are a number of restaurants in town that serve vegetarian options; you could try Daffy's Café, Hôtel le Marais, La Pignatta, or Le Caveau.
