This famous apres ski bar and restaurant is situated at the top of the Daille cable car and is the place to party on the piste in Espace Killy ski area.
The bar has a huge outdoor dance floor where you will often find the champagne flowing and resident DJs/singers keeping the party going with great tunes.
Luc Reversade, the owner of the Folie Douce chain, has succeeded in bring the dance floors of Ibiza, Turkey and Florida to the middle of the ski slopes. Nothing was going to stop his dream becoming reality; the outside bar even has specially heated-column pumps to stop the beer from freezing in sub-zero temperatures! Following the bar's success in Val d'Isere, there are now chains in Val Thorens, Meribel and Alpe d'Huez.
For those that plan on visiting the bar to enjoy apres-ski, you'll find the musical content evolves throughout the day with lounge style music during restaurant hours, transitioning from cabaret show to a full-on Dance (DJ mix from 15:00 - 17:00 featuring live musicians and singers, grooving on everything from Deep House to a harder, Electro sound).
However, the Folie Douce is more than just an apres-ski bar. It also includes a great stylish self-service restaurant, Nuvoself, as well as the mountain restaurant La Fruitiere which are open from midday to 3:30pm. These restaurants offer a variety of delicious fresh dishes to keep you going on the mountain.
The Folie Douce is open daily from 09:00 to 17:00 so you can always pop in for a coffee first thing before returning for apres at the end of the day.
