Interseason Skiing has Begun in Tignes

Interseason skiing is open with a little less ski area than last year

Thanks to a blindingly hot summer, it's probably not a huge surprise that the conditions at the top of the Grand Motte glacier aren't as good as they were this time last year, however there has been a dusting of snow in the last week or two to top things up a bit.

The glacier re-opened this weekend with a slightly reduced ski area (see the image above) but conditions were still good with people shredding powder on the sides of the pistes from the 4 ski lifts that are in operation.

If you fancy a pre-season ski, snowboard or snowshoe outing, interseason pedestrian and ski prices can be found on our ski pass prices page. You can gain access from 08:45 to 14:45.

The good news is that more snow is on the forecast too!
