What's new for Mountain Bikers this summer

Biking in Tignes just got a little bit better!

Hoorah! Tignes will still be operating FREE access to lifts for mountain bikers this summer, and to build on their already great bike park they're adding a few new things for Summer 2013..

In 2012 they added a handful of new red and blue trails, and linked up with Val d'Isere bike park on top of that (see "Sweet Sweet" & "Borsat Attack" in our Trails page).

This summer there will be another red trail added on the Palafour side of the valley called Red Hot, and a new double black trail called Scarefresse on the Tovieres side. Double blacks are, as the name suggests, just for elite or expert riders. Expect very steep and very technical riding along the lines of the Moustache trail and/or harder!

Also new for 2013 is a FREE (we like that word!) shuttle service which will run between Les Brevieres and Le Lac, 6 days a week from 9am to 6pm. Two 8 seater minibuses with trailers will run non stop during this time. They should arrive at the bottom of Les Brévières approximately every 30 minutes.

So what are you waiting for have you booked your flights yet?

If you're riding in Tignes this summer, don't forget to send us your videos and pictures, and if they're good enough we'll post them up on the site.
