This hotel offers 27 spacious suites (approximately 60m²) with a warm alpine decoration using a mix of fabrics, stone and wood inspired from Provence, the Tyrol and the Savoie.
Either on a split level or all on one floor, each individual suite has all the refined comforts of a cosy mountain chalet. Plus the luxury of having a private sauna and Jacuzzi bath in each suite.
All suites have satellite TV, direct line telephone, bathroom with Jacuzzi bath, sauna, hair dryer and heated towel rail, separate toilet, large living area with sofa and fireplace or Austrian stove, safe and balcony.
Although the suites are self-catered, the adjacent Village Montana hotel has four restaurants and two bars to choose from.
There is also a spa at the nearby hotel, open to guests of the suites. Bains du Montana boasts spectacular views of the pistes from the large indoor and outdoor heated pool. Relax and enjoy the benefits of the real oriental hammam (steam room) and experience total pleasure from any of the wide range of treatments available, such as the invigorating Alpine water hydro massage showers or the relaxing and toning body treatments and massages inspired from around the world.
If you stay at this hotel you will also benefit from the on-site ski and snowboard hire shop where you can get all the latest gear.
The large indoor pool has Roman steps leading into the water and large floor to ceiling windows opposite so you can enjoy the stunning mountain views whilst you swim.
The four restaurants available during your stay are as follows:
- Le Gourmet: A gourmet restaurant open in the evenings for dinner
- Les Chanterelles: A restaurant offering traditional French cuisine
- La Chaumière: This bistro is located directly on the slopes and has a large sun terrace perfect for lunch time. The restaurant is also open for dinner and serves Savoyard specialities.
- La Place: This is a traditional brasserie/pizzeria with a south oriented terrace
Families & Kids
You’ll need to book your own childcare, when staying here. There is a great choice of childcare options in Tignes from full-time nanny services to the odd night of babysitting. In addition, during the winter season, many of the ski-schools operate creche services. Booking in advance is always recommended and strongly advised for the school holiday periods.
Book My Childcare
You’ll need to book your own transfers when staying here. Your main options are shared or private transfers, but consider whether you would prefer a door-to-door service or a (generally cheaper) “communal” drop-off point at your destination.
Book My Transfers
You’ll need to organise your own bike hire when staying here. Things to consider are the type of bike you want to rent such as road, mountain, hard trail and/or an electric bike; and whether you’ll need helmets and protective clothing with your rental. You’re best off choosing a shop that is close to your accommodation for ease of access, and making it quicker to return the bike and pay at the end. Some companies may also deliver so it’s worth looking at all the options.
Book My Cycle Hire
There is a ski and snowboard hire shop within the hotel so you can easily rent all your equipment onsite. For advance booking, visit the hotel's website.

Lifts & Passes
You’ll need to buy your own lift pass, when staying here. Lift passes can be booked online or bought in resort on arrival. There are many types of pass available, suited to different levels, length of stay and budget. It’s worth reading up on the options to get the most from your lift pass in summer & winter.

Instructors & Lessons
When staying here, you’ll need to book your own ski or snowboard lessons. Tuition is strongly recommended for complete beginners and is always a good idea whatever your level to perfect your technique. Group lessons are a great way for children to learn with their peers whilst giving you some free time on the slopes. Groups are also a generally cheaper option for adults, however, with a private instructor you’ll have undivided attention and be able to progress at your own pace.

Guides & Tours
When staying here, you’ll need to book your own Guides & Tours, which are a great way to discover Tignes whilst doing a number of fun activities. During the winter, if you are keen to go off-piste, booking a High Mountain Guide is strongly recommended. Not only do they know the best local spots, these highly trained and experienced individuals are very familiar with the surroundings and can provide loads of insights you won’t get by yourself, as well as helping to ensure your safety.

Covered parking is available at the hotel from €15 per day to €75 per week.
- "I've stayed here 5 or 6 times and it's always been amazing. The suite style rooms are some of the best I've seen in the Alps, the pool is good and the food is to die for. I can't really criticise it in any way to be honest!" - Trip Advisor
- "Suites are very spacious, they are all decorated with a different chalet style. You have your own fireplace, a jacuzzi and sauna which after a day skiing is always welcome. If you don't want to stay in your suite, you can always use the spa and swimming pool on the lower ground floor. On both occasions, the staff was very friendly and helpful. They create a very relaxed yet professional atmosphere. The gourmet restaurant is excellent. If you plan to lose weight, you will simply need to stay longer on the slopes! " - Trip Advisor
- "Excellent overall experience. Charming small luxury hotel with gourmet restaurant, the only worthy of the name in Tignes. The quality of service makes difference, nothing is impossible to arrange whenever you ask." - Trip Advisor
Tignes Le Lac sits just next to the beautiful big Tignes lake. It is made up of an array of high rise appartment blocks and hotels with a few traditional chalets dotted around. One of the best things about Le Lac is its fantastic location to the ski slopes. There are also plenty of restaurants, bars and cafes that will welcome you in from the winter cold for lunch, dinner or just a bit of apres ski fun.
Although it is not the most picturesque of resorts the excellent slope side location of Tignes Le Lac makes it a popular place to stay and you can choose from a number of apartments, hotels or a few catered chalets to stay in. Tignes Le Lac is a bustling part of the Tignes resort and you are sure to enjoy a winter or summer holiday when staying here.

Things to Do Nearby
In winter with quick and easy access to the whole Espace Killy ski area and an abundance of ski in, ski out accomodation options you can be out the door and skiing in just a few short minutes. Le Lac is an extremely popular resort for this reason, but it also has plenty else to offer for those who do not fancy venturing out onto the slopes. The beautiful and picturesque lake freezes over in the winter and you can meander across it and enjoy the wonderful snowy mountain scenery (although check it is safe before setting off!), and there are lots of alterative winter activities to do.
In the summer the mountains turn from white to green and with plenty of sunshine there is lots to do. There are a whole host of summer activities that are perfect for groups, families and individuals. Tignes Le Lac has great access to the ski lifts and in the summer you can whizz up the mountain and enjoy a range of walking and hiking routes or the mountain biking trails that Tignes is famous for in the summer time. You can also hop on the free bus service and be at the Grande Motte in Tignes Val Claret for some summer skiing on the glacier in just a few short minutes.
