Tignes Dump Alert: 13th November 2017
Last evening, 15cm of fresh snow fell in Tignes, on top of a base of 20cm that we already had. We were thrilled to wake up this morning to a further 20cm of fresh snow at 2200cm and cold temperatures of -10 at 2500m.
Throughout the day, the snowfall will lighten and, for the rest of the week, there will be warmer temperatures and sunshine. This will help to consolidate the snowpack with a top-up of snow next weekend. This is a great start to winter and, with the Tignes Glacier already open, it's time to come and make some turns!
Don’t forget your winter tyres and chains above 1400m as you will probably need them on the roads today.
