It's been dumping down, again! : 6th January 2012
It started snowing again yesterday and it did not stop all day. By evening the storm, reportedly the worst Espace Killy has seen in a hundred years, was in full flow.
There was a 9pm curfew in Val d'Isere and conditions were said to be equally as hairy in Tignes - with gusts of wind in town over 100kmph. Up to a metre has fallen in several stations across the Alps.
The weather forecast for today is for the wind to drop a little, but for the snow to continue. The temperature is set to remain low and the storm should slowly die down, ending on Monday. With luck we will then have sunshine, so we can make the most of this mind boggling quantity of fresh snow!
