Tignes will play host to some of the best freestyle skiers in the world from March 9th to 12th. The recently completed Superpipe in Val Claret will be the battleground for the final of the halfpipe world cup and with a fully stacked field and brilliant weather conditions forecast, it’s an event not to be missed!

Early in the week you can expect to see the athletes training in the Superpipe and in the recently upsized Tignes park, going big and charging hard in preparation for the Men’s qualifiers on Wednesday morning at 10am and the Women’s on Thursday at 11am. Finals will be spectacular under the lights at 7pm with a fireworks extravaganza set for after the awards ceremony.

The prestigious event has managed to attract one of the most complete fields of freestyle riders in the world, with the Men’s field containing recent winner of the X Games Aspen, Simon d’Artois; American Olympic champions Maddie Bowman and David Wise as well as New Zealand wonder brothers James and Byron Wells. On the Women’s side the benchmark to beat will be the Swiss sensation Virgine Faivre.

Make sure to stay tuned here and on our facebook page for updates during the event and get down to the Superpipe in Val Claret for the finals on thursday night!
