About Lift Pass Options in Tignes

Sportignes Card or a Glacier Ski Pass

Visitor to Tignes in the summer can enjoy skiing on the Grand Motte at 3600m, hiking and biking on the slopes above Tignes Val Claret and Le Lac and the Acroland, and activities park in Tignes Le Lac.The pass for skiing on the glacier is separate from the Sportignes pass but both can be collected from the Maison de Tignes.

Grande Motte Summer Ski Pass

The Grande Motte Ski Pass is available for skiers and snowboarders only - no Mountain bikes are allowed on the glacier. The ski area is open during the mornings from the 6th July until the 4th of August and a pass will cost about €30 a day. The pass is valid for the 20km of pistes on the glacier as well as the freestyle park and the 12 ski lifts.

The summer ski lifts are open from 7.15am until 1.30pm and when you are finished on the hill your pass allows you to use the Langon Swimming pool.

Passes can be bought from the Funiculaire ticket office in Tignes Val Claret.

Grande Motte Walker's Pass

The Grande Motte is not reserved only for skiers and snowboarders in the Summer months. Hikers and walkers can explore the glacier as well with a pedestrian pass. Casual walkers and sightseers can enjoy the views from the panoramic restaurant at the top of the funiculaire before taking the chairlift to the summit for amazing views of the surrounding mountains. More experience mountaineers will enjoy hiking on the glacier.

Sportignes Card

Free lift access and over 20 other Sports and Activities

The Sportignes Card allows you to try over twenty different sports and activities during your stay in Tignes. Access to the Tufs and Palafour lifts are free with the pass for hikers and bikers. MTB enthusiasts will be able to connect to Val d'Isere from the top of the Tufs and between Val and Tignes there are 150km of bike trails including 21 downhill tracks and 9 enduro trails, all for free.

The pass will also allow you into the Acroland by Tignes le Lac where you can try the ski jump into the lake, "The Blob", kyaking, stand up paddleboarding and sailing.

You can also use the pass for free archery, rifle shooting,trampolining and access to the watersports centre as well as many other activities.

The Sportignes Card comes free with your accommodation provided you book through a hotel, estate agent, holiday club or residence. Passes are available from June 29th to September 1st ask on arrival for your card.
