Childcare Services in Tignes

Children are made more than welcome in Tignes and there are a number of crèches and childcare services available. There are a couple of nurseries that take children from aged 2-3 years, and a number of private babysitting/nanny agencies. They do tend to be popular and so you should make sure you book well in advance. Children's clubs are also popular during summer and winter, and offer a range of activities for children of all ages.

Crèches, Child Minding & Baby Sitting Services

There are a number of options when looking for childcare in Tignes. In the winter you will find that many of the nurseries double up as children's ski clubs and, as such, may not accept very young children (under 3 years). However some of the private nanny agencies also run crèches for small children.

Les Marmottons le Lac accepts children between the ages of 2-6 and Les Marmottons Children's Village in Val Claret takes 3-8 year olds. In a secure area away from other pistes, children can play and have fun on skis and snow. There are various courses available to the children in relation to their ages.

The ESF's in Tignes-Le-Lac and Val Claret accept children for full or half days, from 9am to 5pm. Staff are experienced and run a program of outdoor activites to introduce children to snow and make their first experience on skis enjoyable and unforgettable.

Evolution 2 in Val Claret takes children from the age of five, and provides free helmets.

Children's Clubs - Summer

The scope for summer activities in the Alps is endless, so you will find that at most Children's Clubs in Tignes the focus is very much on getting outdoors and making the most of the sunshine and the mountains. Summer clubs are a great way for children to meet new friends and discover new experiences.

The Evolution 2 Junior Academy offers a wide range of adventurous outdoor pursuits such as rafting, climbing and mountain biking.
For younger children Les Marmottons Childrens Village in Val Claret takes 3-8 year olds for fun and games in the sun!
Tignes Kids Club has two groups, 6-8 year olds and 9-11 year olds. Meet at the Kids Club Chalet (Chalet Club Jeunes) next to Le Lagon in le Lac at 9:15 am and 1:45 pm for a whole host of sports and fun activities. A one week package costs in the region of €130 or 10 half days from €155.
The Tignes Youth Club (Le Club Ados), for 12 to 16 year olds offers a multitude of activities including via ferrata, adventure park, mountain biking, white water rafting and quad biking from just €155 for a week package. The qualified instructors will ensure your kids have a fun packed time in the Alps. Meeting point is the Youth Club Chalet (Chalet Club Aods) situated next to Le Lagon in Le Lac.
For the really small members of the family head over to the Mamottons Park in Le Lac next to the skate park where the giant inflatables will give the little ones hours of bouncing fun! Fun in the sun for ages 3-8 years.

Outside of the organised clubs Tignes also organises many extra entertainments during the summer months ranging from kids shows in the amphitheatre next to Le Lagon swimming pool, to clowns, musicians and face painting all around the resort. These events are not usually scheduled until the preceding weeks but you can find out about them from the notice boards around resort, listening to Tignes radio, or keeping an eye on our ‘What’s On Guide’.
