We had plenty of snow (record quantities in fact) in the first few weeks of the season, followed by wall to wall sunshine for just over a week. This gave us the chance to take advantage of the fabulous conditions and the seriously cold temperatures ensured everything stayed in peak condition.

Why book a ski holiday in January? A number of obvious reasons spring to mind; quiet if not deserted pistes, no lift queues and optimum ski conditions (due to the typically colder weather). As long as you are prepared to wrap up warm you can benefit from some of the best conditions of the season.

It started snowing again yesterday and it did not stop all day. By evening the storm, reportedly the worst Espace Killy has seen in a hundred years, was in full flow.

Yippee! We woke up to a good 50cm of snow in resort this morning, which means there will more than likely be more up top! We enjoyed the sun while it lasted but we are very excited by the prospect of yet more fresh snow....
