| Pedestrian Passes |
|
Not everyone comes to Tignes to ski, and when there are such beautiful panoramas to take in and mountain restaurants to enjoy, we can understand why! These high-altitude restaurants vary from the more refined gastronomic end of the scale to the self-service carb-loading cafeteria-style. Often, at the busier bars and restaurants there will be a party atmosphere with DJ’s playing out on the terraces and deckchairs from which to enjoy the sun. Here are a few to try:
- Restaurant Tovière, at the top of the Aeroski gondola from Tignes le Lac
- The Panoramic, at the top of the funicular from Val Claret
- L’Alpage, accessible via the Chaudannes chairlift or L’Aiguille Rouges chairlift
- Lo Soli, also accessible via the Chaudannes chairlift or L’Aiguille Rouges chairlift
Lift pass prices are reduced for pedestrians (piétons), and some areas are even free or include extras such as a meal at a designated restaurant. You can read more about Tignes and Espace Killy mountain restaurants, as well as typical Alpine specialities, in our Dining & Going Out guide.
See Tignes & Espace Killy Lift Pass Prices - Winter for details and prices of this season's pedestrian lift passes. |

*During the winter season Tignes offers adaptive seats that enable use of the chairlifts, please enquire when booking. **Please see Tignes for Paragliding for more information. ***Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and are forbidden on the pistes during the ski season. ****It is not recommended to expose babies to sudden changes in altitude or temperature - if lift staff consider your child too young to travel on certain lifts they reserve the right to refuse you entry. Please see our Tips for Families & Kids section for advice.
NB The Tignes lifts can take you as high as 3500m (Grande Motte) and ascend rapidly. Please consult your doctor before arriving in resort if you have heart problems or any other medical problem that may be exacerbated by a change in altitude.
